Cube the ‘Vanishing Point’, my prototype for the Moon Gallery project

The First Moon Gallery *invite only show opens November 16 at 16:30 at The European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), the European Space Agency’s main technology development and test centre for spacecraft and space technology.

Performance and presentation of art research project
On Monday September 3 at 19:00, I will be presenting my art research project about spatial perception and perform live Drawing ‘Reflection on Expanding Spaces’ during the second ARC (art_research_convergence) forum which will take place at The Grey Space in the Middle in The Hague (Paviljoensgracht 20). Besides the performance there will be on display the CUBUS Installation and oil painting the ‘Vanishing point’.
ARC is a new platform for the artistic-academic discourse in the Netherlands and is an initiative of the Leiden University Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA).
‘Reflection on Expanding Spaces’ is ongoing project by visual artist Alexandra Arhanskaya and musician Sharon Stewart.
‘Cubus: Five projections of an ideal space’ is a painting installation of 5 acrylic painted mdf-boards (60x60cm each) that represent imaginary landscape of four towers, which are observed from five different viewpoints. The artwork was presented as flat installation at Art Arnhem Alumni 2015 exhibition in October 2015 and as a 3D cube at the LISFE film festival in Leiden (Haagweg, 4) in April 29-30 2016.
Welcome to the opening of The Survivors art exhibition on Friday 15th of April at 16.30 at the Atrium The Hague City Hall (Spui 70, The Hague), where my latest painting ‘Tumbleweed’ is exposed.
During the opening I’ll be performing the Live Drawing together with the Syrian music band. The performance starts at 17.15.
The Survivors art exhibition, organised by The Hague Peace Projects, will challenge and confront a large and varied public to consider the daily reality of the lives of Syrian refugees. 16 artists get the assignment to react on the drawings of a Syrian boy of 11 years old, Taim Safar, by making their own, new work. It shows that something as simple as a drawing of a child can lead to such a unique and innovative art project.

During the Art Arnhem Alumni 2015 exhibition two paintings and one installation of mine will be presented at Stadhuis Arnhem (Koningstraat 38, Arnhem) October 30th till November 1st.
Opening is on Friday October 30th at 6 pm.
